Navoi city is considered to be one of the highly developed industrial centers of our country. It includes such branches of industry as mining industry, metallurgy, chemistry, energy power, building materials, cotton processing industry. There are 1040 industrial enterprises are on operation today and 21 out of it are the biggest in size industrial enterprises in the region and are all in operation today.
Among them we can mention such enterprises as Navoi metal mining company, "Navoiyazot” open joint-stock company, "Qizilqumcement”, Navoiy Energy Processing complex, "Electrochemestry”, "Bakht-textile”, "Navbahortextile” and the like.
Navoi metal mining company is a leading company in the field of producing the rare products as gold, uranium, phosphoresce. Much attention is paid here to the problems of modernizing the production process, re-equipment of technical and technological processes and improvement of the export abilities of the company.
Navoiyazot open joint-stock company produces a great amount of ammoniac saltpetre, sulphate acids, chloride and intone fiber.
